Ingredients:
- 2 pork loin chops (about 150g each)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup of panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/4 cup of tonkatsu sauce
- 2 cups of shredded cabbage
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- Frying pan
- Meat mallet
- Mixing bowls
- Tongs
- Paper towels
Instructions:
- Place the pork loin chops between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them to about 1/2 inch thickness using a meat mallet.
- Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with the beaten egg, and the third with panko breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each pork chop first in the flour, then dip it into the beaten egg, and finally coat it with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- In a frying pan, heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- Fry the breaded pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
